Personal Injury Attorney Serving Victims Throughout Chester County
Chester County just so happens to be home to some of my best friends and clients. It is also one of my favorite places to relax – in fact, fishing in White Clay Creek or Brandywine Creek is one of my favorite weekend activities. Chester County will no doubt be seeing more of me once the Struble Trail extension is completed.
Chester County is well-served by the Pennsylvania Turnpike and a multitude of state and national highways. The inevitable traffic congestion that comes from being sandwiched between Philadelphia and Wilmington, however, results in a large number of serious injury accidents and even a few fatalities.
You Deserve Justice
Traffic accidents, unfortunately, are but one of the multitudes of personal injury risks that all of us face on a daily basis. Indeed, sometimes life seems booby-trapped against us. It is easier to accept a certain degree of unavoidable risk, however, than to accept a serious personal injury caused by someone else’s misconduct. When that happens, you are going to need professional assistance to press your claim.
Most personal injury claims are paid by insurance companies. 22 years of representing injured victims have taught me that squeezing a fair settlement out of a stingy insurance company requires you to prove that you are capable of enforcing your claim in court. Insurance companies know me, and they don’t want to see me in court – which is why over 90 percent of my clients receive private settlements.
You Only Pay If You Win
You don’t need a dime to retain me. I charge no upfront fees, and I will never bill you a dime until the defendant pays. I win about 95 percent of my cases, but in the unlikely event that you are among the five percent who receive no compensation, my legal services will be free of charge. I don’t pay to get nothing, and I don’t think you should either.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
My loved one died in a bicycle accident. Can I file a lawsuit on his behalf?
It depends on who you are. Under the Pennsylvania wrongful death statute, the personal representative of the victim’s estate is the only one who can file a wrongful death lawsuit during the first six months after the victim’s death. If he misses the six-month deadline, the beneficiaries of the victim’s probate estate can file a lawsuit.
What kinds of damages might I be entitled to under Pennsylvania personal injury law?
Depending on the nature of your claim, you might be eligible for:
- Medical expenses;
- Lost earnings;
- Out-of-pocket expenses such as child care;
- Funeral expenses (in a wrongful death claim);
- Pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life and other types of intangible damages; and
- Punitive damages (in unusual cases).
How much is a dog bite claim generally worth? Where does the money come from?
The average dog bite claim is worth tens of thousands of dollars. The claim is usually funded by:
- The defendant’s homeowner’s insurance policy.
- The defendant’s renter’s insurance policy.
- Your own health insurance policy (perhaps – check your policy for details).
- The defendant’s personal assets (the last resort).
Should I resort to mediation to resolve my claim?
In some cases, mediation makes more sense than a trial. Mediation can be less risky than a trial for several reasons. Negotiation, however, should be your first choice in most cases. Remember that a signed mediation agreement is as binding as any other contract.
Act Quickly — Time May be Running Out on Your Claim
In Pennsylvania, you generally have two years from the date of an accident to file a personal injury lawsuit. Even if your accident happened yesterday, however, don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security. Since evidence deteriorates over time, it is important to be preparing your case as soon as possible to maximize your chances of winning.
